Black chayote squash is also known as mirliton, choko, toyota, and chouchou is usually eaten raw in salads or stuffed and baked. The fruit is actually native to Aztec culture and introduced to the world during the Columbian expeditions. 

Grown in Mexico or Costa Rica.
